Removing and Installing Transmission GS5S31BZ (SMG) for 3 Series E46 330i (M54) TOUR
Left side of transmission: Disconnect plug connection (1 to 3).
Left side of transmission: Disconnect plug connection (4).
Right side of transmission: Disconnect plug connection (1 to 7).
Support transmission with a workshop hoist.
Release screws.
Tightening torque, 23 00 1AZ .
Important!
Do not allow the transmission to hang off from the
transmission input shaft as this will deform the clutch plate.
Pull out transmission towards rear as far as possible, turn approx.
10
°
counterclockwise and remove.
