3 Series E46 330xd (M57) SAL
Adding coolant:
Release screw.
Remove air duct (1) from air cleaner cover.
Remove air duct (1) from intake hood (2).
Release screws (1).
Remove acoustic cover (2).
Slacken vent plug (1) on heater return.
Slacken vent plug (2) on expansion tank/radiator feed.
Note:
Adhere to following sequence without fail when adding
coolant:
1)
Slowly introduce coolant into expansion tank
2)
Close vent plug on heater return after water outlet
3)
Close vent plug on expansion tank/radiator feed after
water outlet
4)
Fill expansion tank with coolant up to edge
Use only recommended coolant,
refer to BMW Service Operating Fluids MG17.
