3 Series E46 330xd (M57) SAL
Drain off and top up coolant,
refer to 17 00 005.
Remove intercooler,
refer to 17 51 000.
Remove expansion tank,
refer to 17 11 100.
Remove fan cowl,
refer to 17 11 031.
Cars with automatic transmissions:
Remove heat exchanger for automatic transmission.
Note:
Oil lines remain connected to heat exchanger.
This task is described in the work step "Removing and installing
automatic transmission",
refer to 17 22 010.
Release hose clamp (1).
Installation:
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 65 10AZ.
Detach hose (2) from EGR valve and remove.
Detach lower coolant hose (1) from radiator.
Installation:
Check O-rings.
Do not under any circumstances coat O-rings with antiseize
agent.
