Removing and installing selector lever (AWD)
Special tools required:
•
25 1 110
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove heater end plate (M57TU only).
•
Remove intake hood (M57TU only).
•
Remove underbody protection.
•
Remove exhaust system from catalytic converter.
•
Remove middle heat shield.
•
Remove right heat shield from front axle support.
Detach knob with a forceful tug.
Note:
Do not turn knob when removing; otherwise turning lock in
knob will be shorn off.
Installation:
Fit knob on selector lever, align and press on until it can be
felt to snap into place.
Installation:
Push rubber gaiter (1) down until groove (2) is fully exposed.
