Replacing fuel filter (M57)
Caution!
Switch off ignition.
When working on the oil, coolant or fuel circuit, you must
protect the alternator against contamination.
Cover alternator with suitable materials.
Failure to comply with this procedure may result in an
alternator malfunction.
Recycling:
Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
Disconnect plug (2).
Release screw (1).
Remove pressure sensor (3) on fuel filter unit.
Release clamps (4) and detach fuel lines.
Release screw (5).
Pull out fuel filter unit (6).
Installation:
Replace complete pressure sensor if sealing ring (1) is damaged.
