3 Series E46 330xd (M57) TOUR
As shown in illustration, support front axle support (1) with special
tool 00 2 030 in conjunction with special tool 31 2 220 and a
block of wood (2).
Detach front axle support from engine carrier.
Tightening torque and installation instructions for front axle
support.
Remove soundproofing panel on front axle differential (wheel
arch).
Pull off vent hose.
Release screws (1) and remove front axle differential.
Tightening torque 31 50 7AZ .
Carefully feed out front axle differential towards bottom.
