Removing and installing or replacing front
stabilizer bar (4WD only)
Release stabilizer link (1) on left and right of stabilizer bar (2) - grip
with open-end wrench.
Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts. Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 35 5AZ.
Remove underbody protection at front and cooling air ducts for
brake on left and right.
Release retaining bracket on left and right.
Remove stabilizer.
Installation:
Rubber mount, retaining bracket and stabilizer bar free of grease.
Open side of rubber mount at an angle at front.
Wet retaining bracket with low-surface-tension water.
Replace self-locking nuts. Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 35 1AZ.
