3 Series E46 M3 (S54) CONVER
Grip propeller shaft at center bearing and release nuts.
Tightening torque, 26 11 6AZ.
Caution!
Do not let propeller shaft fall into joints. In particular, on the
constant velocity joint, the rubber sleeve gets squashed or the
joint is damaged.
Kink propeller shaft downwards at center bearing, remove from
transmission output flange and secure at side to underbody with a
cord or wire.
Unclip cable at holder (1).
Cut through cable tie (2).
Release screws.
Tightening torque, 23 41 2AZ.
Detach switch.
Installation:
Clean threads of screws and tapped holes.
Insert screws with screw locking compound (Loctite 243).
