Failure to comply with the following instructions may result
in the vehicle slipping off the lifting platform and critically
injuring other persons.
When supporting components, make sure that
•
the vehicle can no longer be raised or lowered
•
the vehicle does not lift off the locating plates on the
lifting platform

Danger of injury!
To prevent the rear differential from falling down, check and if
necessary correct the positioning of the side bearing caps on
adapters 33 4 426 .
Support rear differential with special tool 33 4 420 and
adapters 33 4 426 on side bearing caps.
Unfasten screws.
Release screw (1).
Slowly lower workshop jack and remove rear differential towards
rear.
