3 Series E46 M3 (S54) CONVER
Mark new part in accordance with distance A and cut.
Distance A = 20 mm from bore hole (1).
Diameter of bore hole (1) = 35 mm.
Drill holes in area (2) at distance of 25 mm for MAG plug welding.
The MAG plug welds replace the laser weld seams.
Drill lower area of new part in area (1) for MAG plug welding.
Drill holes in areas (2) at distance of 25 mm for MAG plug
welding. The MAG plug welds replace the laser weld seams.
Make reinforcement plate (1) approx. 30 mm in length and weld
in.
Fit in new part.
MAG plug/spot-weld areas (2).
MAG plug/spot-weld areas (1) and (2).
RA Replacing left or right side member cover (partial replacement in front of B-pil
