Removing and installing/replacing rear rubber
seal

Release screws (in area 1) on left and right.

Remove seal.

Cut out cloth (1) from rubber seal (2) of rear window run
(scalpel).

Installation:

Stick cloth (1) into rubber seal (2) with superfast adhesive (refer
to BMW Parts Service).

Drill out rivets in window guide on C-pillar.

Remove window guide and remnants of rivets.

Feed seal out of rail of window run.

Installation:

Because of larger rail depth, attach a nut as adapter between rivet
and riveting pliers for riveting purposes.

Caution!

Risk of damage to door window or window guide: Make sure
there are no parts protruding from rivet. Riveting bolt must be
correctly torn off.
