Warning!
Danger of locking in position!
Secure tensioning bar and convertible top compartment lid
against lowering.
Open tensioning bar (1) and convertible top compartment lid (2)
as illustrated.
Build date up to 04/2001, first repair:
Use repair kit 7 066 889 and sensor 7 059 587 for repairs
(sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service).
Release screws (1) and (2) and remove cover (3).
Installation:
Cover (3) is no longer needed.
