Replacing rubber mount for transmission
mounting (AWD)
Special tools required:

•

•

Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove rear underbody protection
•
Replace centre muffler (E9x N53 only)
•
Remove complete exhaust system
•
Support transmission with hydraulic lifter.
•
Remove heat shields
•
Detach front propeller shaft, tie back to side
•
Detach rear propeller shaft, tie back to side
•
Remove cross-member from transfer case
Necessary preliminary tasks:
Lower transmission with hydraulic lifter.
Mount special tools 22 1 042 / 22 1 041 on transfer case.
Pull out rubber mount with thrust plate 22 1 043 by means of
spindle 33 4 460 and nut 22 1 017 .
