Only in event of replacement for E87 with build date before
09/2004:
New seat belt tensioners are supplied with belt buckle contacts
which are not required before this build date.
•
Disconnect contacts at pin 14 and pin 15
•
Tie both contacts to rear
Note:
Clear all fault memories and code car again.
Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 72 11 6AZ
.
Remove belt tensioner (3).
Installation:
Belt tensioner (3) is secured through recess (2) to retaining
bracket.
