Checking one valve guide for wear (M57TU)
Special tools required:
•
00 2 510
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove valve.
To measure tilt clearance, install a new valve so that end of valve
stem is flush with valve guide.
Fit special tool 00 2 510 (dial gauge) and measure tilt
clearance.
Max. permitted tilt clearance:
refer to Technical Data.
Note:
In event of excessive tilt clearance, replace cylinder head and
valves.
Assemble engine.
