3 Series E91 330d (M57T2) TOUR
Insert inlet camshaft.
Position (1) of inlet camshaft gear flush with cylinder head.
Position (2) of exhaust camshaft gear flush with cylinder head.
If necessary, resecure camshafts.
Marking (1) on inlet camshaft must be between markings (2) on
exhaust camshaft.
See illustration.
The inlet camshaft bearing covers are marked E 1 ... E 7 from
the exhaust side.
Fit bearing covers.
Insert all screws (1) and initially tighten so that they are free of
play.
Tighten down inlet camshaft bearing caps in 1/2 turn increments
evenly from inside to outside.
