3 Series E92 316i (N43) COUPE
Replace screw.
Install bolt (1) of exhaust adjustment unit and initially tighten
without play.
Note:
Picture shows a schematic representation.
Important!
Incorrect installation possible.
Press clamping rail (1) by hand against timing chain and make
sure timing chain is guided in clamping rail (1).
Insert special tool 11 9 340 in cylinder head and bring adjusting
screw by hand on clamping rail into contact but do not pretension
timing chain yet.
Note:
Picture shows N46T.
Fit special tool 11 8 711 as illustrated.
Align locating bores of sensor gears to alignment pins on special
tool 11 8 711 .
Attach special tool 11 8 712 on cylinder head on left and right.
