New screw connection - propeller shaft to final drive
E9x (N54 B30/M57TOP), E70
Situation:
From 06/2006, plugged propeller shafts will be fitted.
The previous screw connection of the propeller shaft to the final drive (with flexible disc) is
superseded by the plugged propeller shaft.
This affects model series E9x from 06/2006 and E70 from 09/2006, and will also affect
future model series such as the 5-Series and 7-Series.
New special tools are required for this type of screw connection,
please refer to Enclosure 1.
Procedure:
Offer tools will be sent to every dealer with a tools agreement.
