Removing and installing / replacing flywheel
(automatic M57T2)
Special tools required:
•
11 9 260
•
11 9 264
•
11 9 266
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Disconnect battery negative terminal
•
Remove and install centre equipment compartment bulkhead
(E65 only)
•
Remove tension strut (E60 only)
•
Remove and install front assembly underside protection
•
Remove and install automatic transmission
Block flywheel (1) with special tools 11 9 260 / 11 9 266
/
11 9 264 .
Unfasten flywheel screws.
Installation:
Tightening torque 11 22 1AZ
.
Flywheel (1) is secured with an alignment pin.
Fit new flywheel screws.
Clean crankshaft thread for flywheel screws.
Remove flywheel (1).
Assemble engine.
