Replacing pulse generator on right inlet
camshaft (S65)
(cylinder bank 1 to 4)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary,
work through test schedules
•
Switch off ignition
•
Release and raise coolant expansion tank. Do not kink
hoses.
•
Remove right ignition coil cover
Release plug connector (1) and pull off.
Release screw.
Remove pulse generator (2).
Installation:
Replace sealing ring and coat with antiseize agent.
Tightening torque, 13 62 5AZ
Note:
Now clear the fault memory.
