Removing and installing/replacing fan cowl
with electric fan (N51)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memory of DME control unit
•
Switch off ignition
•
Remove intake duct
•
Automatic only:
Remove underbody protection
Automatic only:
Release screw.
Detach cooler (1) for automatic transmission from fan cowl (2).
Unlock hose (1) and detach.
Release nut and remove bracket (2) for remove bracket for
muffler.
Release, unlock and disconnect plug connection (1) in direction
of arrow from fan cowl.
Detach cable strap (2) from fan cowl.
Release screw.
Installation:
Make sure cable guide (3) is installed in correct position between
fan cowl and radiator.
