Removing and installing or replacing front left
or right lower belt fitting (seat belt
pretensioner)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove front seat
Warning!
Read and comply with safety regulations for handling airbag
modules and pyrotechnical belt pretensioners.
Improper handling can lead to triggering of the pyrotechnical
seat belt pretensioner or side airbag, resulting in injuries.
Switch off ignition!
Important!
Make sure airbag wiring harness is exactly routed when
installed.
Release connector housing (1) from bracket on seat mechanism.
Unclip cable tie (3) from seat mechanism.
Unlock plug connection (2) and pull all plugs out of plug
housing (1).
Disconnect all cable ties.
Removing wiring harness.
Installation:
•
Replace cable tie.
•
Wires must not be under tension
•
Plugs are coded and must be reinstalled in the correct
sequence in the plug housing
