Lumbar support inoperable

Complaint:
The lumbar support pump is heard to run when it is actuated, but no effect can be detected
in the lumbar support.
Cause:
The air hose between the lumbar support pump and the valve is kinked. This prevents air
pressure from building up in the lumbar support cushion.
Affected vehicles:
E93
Manufacturing period: November 2006 until February 2007
Remedy:
In case of customer complaint, the kinked air hose between the lumbar support pump and
the valve must be fitted with an anti-kinking sleeve.
Procedure:
Remove the drive unit for the lumbar support from the affected seat,
Please refer to Repair Instructions 67 66 010 .
Fit an anti-kinking sleeve on the air hose, see description below:
Open the cable tie (1) at the casing
(2).
Pull the drive unit (1) out of the casing
(2).
