Light warnings
E34 with Check Control
Complaint:
Warnings of faulty lights, such as "Low beam", "Number plate light" etc. may be displayed
by the Check Control sporadically even though the vehicle is in perfect working order.
Note:
If only the fault displays "No brake lights" or "Brake light electrics" are involved,
please refer to Service Information bulletin 62 01 96 (056).

Procedure:
Renew both headlight beam throw adjusters, please refer to Repair Instructions microfiche
63 12 450/455.
Note:
Those headlight beam throw adjusters with a white marking or manufactured as from
week 09/96 are in full working order.
Parts:
Headlight beam throw adjuster - Part no. 67 16 8 355 148
Note:
The Central Parts Warehouse in Dingolfing has been cleared of old stock.
Reimbursement:
Material and labour costs incurred can be claimed through the usual warranty channels
subject to current warranty terms as follows:
