5 Series E34 525i (M50) SAL
Installation:
Lubricate bearing shells.
Install crankshaft.
Mount bearing covers 1 ... 7 in such a way that grooves of
bearing shell guides are on one side.
Align bearing covers precisely.
Installation:
Thrust bearing shells are installed only for bearing (6).
Bearing-cap tightening procedures:
Tighten bolts (washed and lubricated with oil) in two steps.
First step tightening torque 23 Nm
Second step torque angle 50
°
