Replacing control unit (DME) (M50, M52,
S50US, S52)
(refer to Operation No. 13 00 002)
Note instructions for removal and installation of electronic
control units,
refer to General Data MG 12
Read fault memory. Switch off ignition.
Before replacing the control module, comply with the following
instructions:
Encoding control module,
refer to 12 14 700
Programming control module,
refer to 12 14 705
Remove acoustic insulation.
Unfasten screws.
Fold cover with wiring harness to one side.
Lift locking clamp of plug-in connection in upwards direction.
Disconnect connector.
