5 Series E34 525tds (M51) TOUR
Remove plug connection (1) from speed sensor (2), pressing the
locking bracket down on the connector.
Unfasten screw.
Remove speed sensor together with holder.
Remove speed sensor from bracket.
Mount special tool 13 6 040 on holder. Mount holder on engine
block and push forward as far as stop. This produces the required
distance (A) between the flywheel pin and speed sensor.
Tighten holder.
Special tool now makes contact with dowel pin (1) on flywheel.
Unscrew special tool 13 6 040 from the holder and pull it out.
Caution!
The holder must no longer be loosened on the engine block;
only unscrew and remove the special tool.
