5 Series E34 530i (M60-1) TOUR
Caution!
Do not damage the cylinder head.
If necessary, rework open-end wrench accordingly.
Note:
When unfastening screw connection on camshaft, brace
camshaft on hexagon head.
Slacken remaining three screws on exhaust and inlet camshafts
on cylinder bank 5 to 8 approx. 1/2 a turn.
Remove piston for chain tensioner,
refer to 11 31 090.
Remove timing case cover, top right,
refer to 11 14 085.
Remove sprocket on right inlet camshaft (cylinder bank 1 to 4).
Secure chain to prevent it from dropping.
