Unfasten timing case cover.

Installation:

Replace sealing ring in cylinder head for oil supply of chain
tensioner.

Installation:

Ensure dowel sleeves (1) are correctly located. 

Coat contact surface edge of joint between cylinder head and
cylinder head gasket with liquid gasket Hylomar SQ32 M
(refer to BMW Parts Service).

Installation:

Keep sealing faces clean and free of oil.

Replace seals.

Caution!

Note correct installation direction for gaskets.

Install gaskets with sealing bead (1) facing the timing case
cover.
