5 Series E39 520d (M47) SAL
Lift out acoustic covers.
Note:
The nuts (1) fall out very easily during removal and installation,
use special tool 00 2 190 if necessary.
Release screws (2) and nuts (1).
Remove intake air manifold.
Note:
The intake air manifold is vibrationally separated by rubber mounts
and seals from the cylinder head and cylinder head cover.
Installation:
Clean sealing surfaces.
Replace sealing rings (1) in intake air manifold.
Check rubber mount (2), replace if necessary.
Installation:
Fit intake air manifold.
Note:
The nuts (1) fall out very easily during removal and installation,
use special tool 00 2 190 if necessary.
Nuts (1) with M7 thread.
Screws (2) with M6 thread.
•
Insert nuts (1) and initially tighten to approx.10 Nm.
•
Insert screws (2).
•
Tighten down nuts (1).
•
Tighten down screws (2).
