5 Series E39 520d (M47) SAL
Disconnect plug connection at switching valve for radiator
blind (1).
Force engine wiring harness to one side and expose injection
pump.
Disconnect plug connection at injection pump (1).
Disconnect all injection lines,
refer to 13 53 200.
Caution!
When the screw (1) is released, the bracket for the oil dipstick
tube is also unfastened. The guide tube must not be pulled
upwards.
Oil outflow from sump!
Release screw (1) and remove switching valve for radiator blind
with retainer (2).
