5 Series E39 520d (M47) SAL
Unscrew hollow screws and seal bores.
Installation:
Replace sealing rings (D).
Tightening torque 32 41 3AZ.
Release tightening straps and push sleeve on left and right from
steering gear. Retract rack as far as possible and unfasten tie rod
joint.
Installation:
Tightening torque 32 21 2AZ.
Unfasten screws.
Raise engine on right engine support arm approx. 30 mm with
workshop hoist.
Push steering gear towards right and remove to front left.
Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque 32 00 1AZ.
