Removing and installing vane pump for power
steering (M47 engine)
Caution!
After installation, bleed power steering.
Make sure all parts are absolutely clean.
No dirt is allowed to enter the system.
Seal off pipe connections with plugs.
Hydraulic fluid must not drip onto the alternator.
Recycling:
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
Draw hydraulic fluid out of tank -> do not reuse.
Release hose clamps (1) and remove turbocharger hose.
Remove drive belt.
Release screws (3) and remove belt pulley.
Disconnect return line (1) from tank.
Disconnect pressure line (2) from pump.
Installation:
Lettering on belt pulley points forward.
Tightening torque 32 41 3AZ.
