5 Series E39 520d (M47) TOUR
Disconnect water hose (1) and lay to one side.
Detach water hose from coolant expansion tank to distributor pipe.
Detach lower coolant hose from radiator to thermostat.
Release clamps and detach fuel lines from fuel filter unit (3).
Release nuts (2).
Place fuel filter unit (3) with holder (4) and fuel cooler to one
side.
Note:
Clamps (1) must not be released.
Release quick-release coupling (2) from preheating valve (3).
Place preheating valve (3) to one side.
Release screws and remove belt pulley of vane pump for power
steering.
Remove vane pump for power steering and tie back to one side
(lines remain connected).
Detach vacuum hose for engine mount from pressure converter
for EGR valve.
