Adjusting camshaft timing (M47)

(refer to Oper. No. 11 31 005)

Note:

Before carrying out adjustments, it is essential to check the
camshaft timing again, 

refer to 11 31 005.

Remove vacuum pump,

refer to 11 66 000.

Note:

When releasing camshaft screw connection, grip camshafts at
hexagon drive.

Slacken screw (1).

Slacken screw (2).

Note:

Tighten screws (1 and 2) so that they are free of play,
chain wheels can still be turned to camshaft.
