Removing and installing or replacing left or
right swinging arm (touring)
Caution!
Measure / adjust rear axle after installation!
Remove wheel,
refer to 36 10 300.
Unclip cable for ABS pulse generator.
If necessary, unfasten control rod for level control system on the
swinging arm.
Vehicle with coil springs:
Tension coil springs,
refer to 33 53 ... Leave rear coil springs on vehicle in tensioned
state.
Vehicle with air suspension:
Pull retainer off air supply unit to ensure that accidental feedback
control of the system cannot occur.
Loosen pipes on distributor block to release system pressure. The
vehicle stands low.
Installation:
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 37 12 3AZ.
