Removing and installing/replacing rear ABS
pulse generator (Touring)

Caution!

Note "General Data",

refer to 34 00 ...

Remove wheel,

refer to 36 10 300

Partially unfasten rear wheel arch trim, pull plug connector (1) out
of bracket and disconnect.

Installation:

Ensure proper locking of plug connector.

Pull cable with rubber grommets out of brackets and open cable
ties.

Installation:

Ensure proper seating of rubber grommets and proper routing
of impulse sensor cable.

Unfasten socket head cap screw (1) and pull ABS impulse sensor
(2) out of hole.

Installation:

Clean hole for impulse sensor and grease with lubricating
grease Staburags NBU 12/K (refer to BMW Service Operating
Fluids).
