Replacing fuel filter (M54)
Caution!
The fuel in the fuel lines is under pressure (approx. 3 - 5
bar)! Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
Switch off ignition.
Release screws (1).
Press cover (2) on underbody downwards.
Detach vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator.
Release clamps (1 and 2) and detach fuel lines from fuel
filter (4).
Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
Installation:
Replace clamps.
Release screw (3).
Remove fuel filter (4).
