5 Series E39 523i (M52TU) SAL
Remove cover.
Release retaining screws of torque converter (3 x) with special
tool 24 1 110 .
Installation:
Only use original screws.
Tightening torque: 24 40 1AZ
.
Protect torque converter from slipping out. To do so, insert special
tools 24 4 131 and 24 4 133 in opening in transmission
housing.
Clamp torque converter.
Release screws.
Pull off transmission from engine towards rear and lower it.
Installation:
Tightening torque: 24 00 1AZ
.
