Replacing power steering (Basis)
Caution!
Adjust front axle after assembly.
Note:
Removal differs depending on scope of parts supplied in steering
gear.
1. Without rubber gaiter:
Unfasten stripes and slide sleeves off steering gear. Insert rack as
far as possible and unfasten left/right track rod joint.
Installation:
Insert rack as far as possible and screw on track rod.
Tightening torque 32 21 2AZ.
2. With rubber gaiter:
Release lock nut (1) on steering tie rod.
Screw tie rod (2) out of tie rod end.
