Removing and installing/replacing pipe (air
line) for air spring to air reservoir on left or
right (touring)

Caution!

Pull retainer off air supply unit to ensure that accidental
feedback control of the system cannot occur.

In area of air line connections, extreme cleanliness must be
ensured during removal and installation. 

Even small dirt particles can cause leakage in the system.

Note:

Left and right pipes differ:

Pipe with red protective cap = left;

pipe with blue protective cap = right.

Remove trunk floor trim.

Unfasten screw connection (1) on quick coupling of air spring.

Caution!

Do not remove the cap screw from the line! This would
destroy the line!

Press quick coupling down, compress snap ring (2) with pliers.
Keep pliers pressed and pull off quick coupling towards top.

Push protective cap onto connection.
