Removing and installing/replacing left or right
air spring (touring)

Caution!

Pull retainer off air supply unit to ensure that accidental
feedback control of the system cannot occur.

In area of air line connections, extreme cleanliness must be
ensured during removal and installation. 

Even small dirt particles can cause leakage in the system.

Note:

Left and right air springs differ.

Left air spring = red identification mark

Right air spring = blue identification mark

Remove wheel.

Remove trunk floor trim.

Release screw connection (1) at quick coupling and, once
pressure in system has reduced, retighten to specified torque,

refer to Technical Data 37 12 3AZ.

Press quick coupling down, compress snap ring (2) with pliers.
Keep pliers pressed and pull off quick coupling towards top.

Push protective cap onto connection.

Remove clips.
