5 Series E39 523i (M52TU) TOUR
Push special tool 51 2 152 downward at rear to unclip gas spring
strut (1). Remove gas spring strut toward rear with special tool 51
2 152.
Installation:
Check installation position of gas spring strut.
Make sure that ball socket (2) is turned through 90
°
to pin
boss (1). Only then a secure installation (engaging of gas
spring strut) is possible.
If a correction is necessary, ball socket may only be turned
clockwise.
