Remove gasket (1).

Remove gasket remnants from sealing surfaces (2) and clean.

Apply a bead of Drei Bond 1209 sealing compound (refer to BMW
Parts Service) approx. 3 mm high and 2 mm wide in area of
joints (1).

Caution!

Oil sump gasket must not be lubricated. Observe different
tightening torques of M6 and M8 screws.

Install oil sump with a new gasket.

Insert all screws until contact is made with screw head in each
case. 

Tighten down all screws diagonally and evenly.
