5 Series E39 525d (M57) TOUR
Place special tool 11 6 321 on exhaust camshaft.
Note:
When tightening camshaft screw connection, grip camshafts
at hexagon drive.
Tighten down exhaust sprocket wheel with special tool
00 9 120 .
Tightening specification, 11 31 4AZ
.
Remove special tool 11 6 321 from exhaust camshaft.
Pull special tool 11 2 300 back until flywheel is no longer
secured in position.
Using special tool 11 6 480 , crank engine twice in direction of
engine rotation until first cylinder is back in TDC firing position.
Caution!
Do not turn the engine back.
