5 Series E39 525i (M54) SAL
Unfasten nut.
Installation:
Use washer (1). Tapered spigot and bore both free of grease.
Replace self-locking nuts. Brace on hexagon socket if
necessary.
Tightening torque 32 21 3AZ.
Remove left and right tie rods with special tool 31 2 240 .
Unscrew hollow screws and seal bores.
Installation:
Replace sealing rings (D).
Tightening torque 32 41 3AZ.
Remove bolt and separate universal joint from steering gear.
Installation:
Tightening torque 32 31 1AZ.
