5 Series E39 525i (M54) SAL
Unfasten nut.
Unhook holder in direction of arrow.
Lift out latent heat accumulator as vertically as possible to prevent
coolant from escaping from accumulator.
Installation:
Prior to installation, prefill latent heat accumulator with coolant. To
do so, place accumulator in vertical position.
Insert funnel and hose in a lead and seal (e.g. with Terostat tape).
Carefully fill system with coolant. The coolant is forced through the
latent heat accumulator by the generated head of water. Continue
adding coolant until it emerges from the other line.
Reinstall latent heat accumulator as vertically as possible.
Vent latent heat accumulator after installation.
