5 Series E39 525tds (M51) TOUR
Caution!
Do not press down too hard on scalpel (risk of damaging the
PVC spray-coating).
Applying slight preload (2nd person pulling on special tool 51 3
010 attached to move rear side window outwards), carefully cut
away cement bead with scalpel cement around the C pillar.
Remove side window with special tool 51 3 010.
Remove cement residue from body aperture to thickness of
approx. 0.5 mm.
Cut off old cement carefully with an universal knife (sharp as a
razor blade) to avoid damaging the paint finish in body opening.
Pull off adhesive tapes all round.
Caution!
To provide long-term corrosion inhibition, damage to
paintwork (scratches and large areas of damage) should
always be touched up,
