5 Series E39 525tds (M51) TOUR
When reusing the side window:
Carefully cut cement residues on glass ceramic material, and if
necessary PVC spray-coating of side window, with universal knife
(sharp as a razor blade) down to 0.5 mm.
Note:
Dampen down suction faces.
Fit special tool 51 3 010 to tool trolley and secure side window.
Mount special tool 51 3 010 (without joint) on inside of window.
Install a lashing eye and hook in special tool 51 3 090
(tensioning belt).
Caution!
The basic filler must have hardened!
Treat side window and body beside cemented area with BMW-
approved materials (repair kit, Sourcing Reference: BMW Parts
Service),
refer to 51 31 ...
