Removing and installing or replacing mass air
flow sensor (M52)
Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit. Switch off
ignition.
Unfasten hose clip (1).
Open clips (2).
Disconnect plug-in connection (3).
Remove air-mass sensor.
Installation:
Check gasket (1) between mass air flow sensor and upper
section of air filter for damage and replace if necessary.
To facilitate assembly, coat gasket with acid-free grease.
interrogate fault memory of DME-control unit, check faults stored
in memory, rectify faults then cancel fault memory.
